We hear these days about many newlyweds traveling to Turkey, or young people who just want a change of scenery and a nice vacation. What we also hear is that the cost of this trip isn’t very expensive, and it’s almost the same as traveling to Sharm El Sheikh, or just slightly more. We searched a lot to bring you some information about the cost of a vacation in Istanbul, in case you’re thinking about it.

Visa:
The cost of the visa and travel insurance is around 100 dollars.

Flight Ticket:
There are many prices, but you can book a ticket with a good airline for around 5,000 Egyptian pounds.

Hotel:
Hotel prices there vary depending on the hotel rating, and they’re close to prices in Egypt. You can book something decent starting from 400 pounds per night. You can book yourself through Booking or Trivago.

Transportation:
You load a card with 100 lira and use it throughout your trip, whether on the metro or ferries.
There’s also an app called Trafi—you download it as soon as you arrive, and it becomes your guide. It tells you where you want to go and which transportation to take and from where.

Food:
Food prices are reasonable. Good meals start from 8 lira and can go higher depending on the restaurant and location.

What are the most famous and best places there?

Princes’ Islands:
One of the best places in Turkey. You can rent a bicycle for 10 lira or rent a horse carriage.

Bursa Trip:
Costs around 100 lira and includes meals and the cable car.

Wax Museum:
Ticket costs 55 lira.

Mosques:
Free entry. The Sultan Eyüp Mosque area is amazing, and there’s also a cable car there for only 3 lira.

Vialand Amusement Park:
Similar to Dream Park here, costs 55 lira.

The Bosphorus:
You take a ferry from KabataÅŸ that takes you to the other side, lets you see the Bosphorus, sit on the sea for a while, then brings you back. It costs only 5 lira.

The Asian Side:
For walking around and relaxing among the trees.

Grand Bazaar:
This is for shopping. There are many brand outlets and high-copy items very close to the original, but you must bargain when buying.

In general, if you buy anything with an invoice over 200 lira, you can reclaim the tax at the airport (tax free). While at the store, you must tell them so they take your passport details and register it, then give you a paper to reclaim the tax.

If we calculate the total cost of the trip, it will be approximately 10,000 pounds. If you really enjoy yourself, eat well, and buy what you want, it can reach 15,000 pounds.
