If you are a sporty person, or even someone who cares a little about your health, you have definitely heard a lot about fitness trackers. If you are excited to buy one but don’t know which type is the best, and whether they are actually useful or just for show — here we will talk about the best three available right now based on many reviews. Note that these are completely different from smart watches.

1 – FITBIT BLAZE

Most reviews say that this is the best thing available right now. It gives you a stylish look and bands in many youthful colors. The design is very close to the Apple Watch. This watch will calculate your movements and steps with extreme accuracy. And no, unlike others, it doesn’t get fooled by just moving your hand while standing still, because it relies on GPS along with your movement. So if you don’t change your location, it won’t count steps.

It also calculates the calories you burn during exercise, and not in a random way or just meaningless numbers. That’s because it has a sensor that measures your heart rate, and it already knows your heart rate during rest. Based on that, it gives you an accurate number of how much your body burned during that period.

In addition, the watch monitors your sleep, which has been proven to be one of the most important things you need to care about if you plan to live a healthy lifestyle. All of this is connected to an application available on iPhone and Android, in addition to the famous MyFitnessPal, which also belongs to the same company.

The only downside of this band is its price, which is considered somewhat expensive — $250 on Amazon or on their website — but it is worth it. This is a one-time purchase, and if anything happens to it, you contact the company and they really help you.

2 – FITBIT CHARGE HR

The same company offers here one of the most practical bands, based on experience. Its look is decent — there’s no comparison with the one above, but it’s nice.

This one will also calculate your steps, not with the same accuracy as the one above, but it might be off by about 100–200 steps, which I don’t think really matters. What’s important is that it gives you a general idea of your level and your activity for the day.

It also calculates calories during workouts based on heart rate, but from experience, it underestimates the numbers by 100–300 compared to others. This can be a bit frustrating if you trained a lot and then ended up with a small number.

It also tracks your sleep accurately and is connected to the same application and MyFitnessPal.

It is cheaper by a full $100. You can buy it from Amazon or their website for $150.

3 – Jawbone UP2

This band has more than 50 designs, and you can order the design you want from the company — but of course, each one has its price.

It counts steps very accurately, just like the first one, and it calculates calories for workouts. Unfortunately, it does not have a sensor to measure heart rate, so it just uses fixed numbers and estimates based on time. Despite that, everyone says it gives results that are very close.

Its downside is that you have to connect it to an iPhone (the company still hasn’t provided an Android app) to know your daily numbers and results. It doesn’t have a screen that displays anything.

Its price is $45 on Amazon, which is a good price to pay for your health. And the idea really motivates you to challenge yourself — like having to walk 10,000 steps today, for example, or sleep six hours without interruption, or do a very intense workout and burn 500 calories.

Anything goes!
